The Real Serious Reading Series at Condesa Coffee is curated by:

David Lydon Hernquist is a co-founder of RSRS.  He is a writer and teacher. He has various degrees but considers himself self-taught. He has traveled the Silk Road in China writing verse and snapping photos. He wrote his first novel What To Do With a Life And a Death last year (2010). He is a recent transplant to Atlanta from Portland.

Makalani Randall is the other co-founder of Real Serious.  He started writing stories in the second grade to impress a girl. He went on to study English and psychology at Morehouse College. He has had poetry published in the literary journal, Catalyst, and also the 1993 anthology, Voices of Black Strength. He was a co-founder of Young African Writers Collective and also served as managing editor of The Drum, a publication of KMT Asen. He currently lives in Georgia with his wife and two children.
